About Cotton Club

Cotton Club opened for business August 1, 2006.
I made my first quilt when I was pregnant with our oldest daughter 40 years ago and she will now greet you at the door whenever I need to be away. I tied all my quilts at that time and cut them out by hand, of course, although I remember having an "electric scissors". Through the years, I got away from quilting and took up embroidery, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, gardening, etc. When I got back into piece quilting about 15 - 18 years ago, I became totally obsessed and put most of those other hobbies away.
I've thought about owning a shop for 6 or 7 years and finally came up with an acceptable backup plan which is now the little two bedroom home we built to house the Cotton Club. For now, I hope to run the shop meeting the needs of the beginner as well as the experienced quilter. I also hope to fill most of the needs of the different quilters out there by having full lines of fabric; a "blender" room where you can find background fabrics, flannels, and seasonals; a bargain room in which fabric is drastically reduced and a childrens room which has hundreds of bolts of baby, youngsters and teenage choices. I carry only top quality fabric by designers and manufactures that you all recognize. I also have all the books, patterns, and notions you need as well as hand-crafted items made by local artists.
I hope you will stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee while you browse the shop.
My staff of teachers are a talented group of women who have the knowledge and patience to take you from picking out your fabric to sewing on the binding.
